Before we begin, let’s talk about the cost of building a WordPress blog. The only thing you need to pay for is the hosting. Everything else, including the domain name and WordPress platform, is free. Think of the domain name as the name of your website and hosting as the land where your website will live online. You can choose any hosting provider, but for this guide, we will be using GoDaddy.

Setting Up the Blog

Now, let’s start setting things up. Follow these steps:

  2. Click on the “Get Started” button and choose the basic plan.
  3. Select the 12 months option and click on “Continue”.
  4. Enter your desired domain name and click on “Submit”.
  5. Create your GoDaddy account and complete the payment process.
  6. Once the hosting is purchased, install WordPress by following the instructions on the website.
  7. After installation, click on the “View My Site” button to access your WordPress website.
  8. Click on the “WordPress Dashboard” button to go to the control panel of your website.
  9. Add your domain name to your website by clicking on the “Add Domain” button.
  10. Wait for the domain to be updated and then close the page.
  11. Open a new page and type in your website name followed by “/wp-admin” to log into your WordPress site.
  12. Enter your username and password and click on “Login”.

Installing a Template Theme

Now that you have set up your blog, let’s install a template theme to give it a professional look. Follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Appearance” and then “Themes”.
